Project Deadline Passed Stamp

The Lehigh University EERI Seismic Design Team is comprised of a team of students pursuing their bachelors in Civil Engineering who are supported by a few graduate students and a professor through EERI. The goal of the competition is to design and construct a model structure to resist an earthquake in the downtown Portland area given certain rules and client demands. In order to participate in the competition, we need to be able to finance plane tickets, a hotel for the competition, and building materials, and transportation of the model, totaling around $5,000 by February 1st 2017.

This is the first year that Lehigh has competed in this competition! Participating has already and will continue to serve as an incredible way to apply what we are learning in our classes. We are very excited for this experience and cannot wait to compete on March 10, 2017 in Oregon. Most importantly, we would greatly appreciate any support!
