The Lehigh University EERI Seismic Design Team is comprised of a group of undergraduate civil engineering students aided by a graduate student and an advising professor. After working over the course of the Fall semester, the team submitted a proposal that was accepted by the EERI competition. The goal of the competition is to design and construct a structural model to resist an earthquake in the downtown Los Angeles area given specific building rules and client demands. In order to participate in the competition, the team will need to be able to finance building materials, model transportation, plane tickets, and lodgings.

This is Lehigh’s second year taking part in the EERI competition! Participating in this event is an incredible opportunity for students to expand their class-room knowledge by creating a design applied to a real-world application. We are very excited for this experience and cannot wait to compete on June 25th in LA. Most importantly, this opportunity would not be possible without your support.

On behalf of our team, thank you!
